The chemical industry is Michigan’s third-largest manufacturing sector, and is an essential contributor to every facet of the state’s economy: over 96% of all manufactured goods are directly touched by the business of chemistry. In Michigan, the automotive, agricultural, and construction sectors – in particular – all depend heavily on the chemical industry’s products and innovations.
