2/3/17 - Michigan Chemistry Council Applauds FERC Approval of Rover Pipeline

LANSING, MI, February 3rd, 2017 – The Michigan Chemistry Council and its members have been vocal supporters of the Rover Pipeline since its proposal more than two years ago. And today, we were thrilled to learn that the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has granted the project its approval. Midstream natural gas infrastructure projects like Rover are critical to the success of MCC’s member companies, who rely on energy resources as both raw inputs and to power their businesses. Rover will facilitate access to affordable, domestically-produced natural gas for the chemistry industry in Michigan, and we appreciate FERC’s timely review and approval.

The Michigan Chemistry Council, established in 1967, represents Michigan’s chemical manufacturers, formulators and distributors. Chemistry is Michigan’s fifth-largest manufacturing sector, supporting more than 80,000 Michigan jobs and generating $147 million in state and local taxes.
