(LANSING, MI) The Michigan Chemistry Council's Board of Directors has announced that John Dulmes has been appointed as the association's Executive Director, succeeding Cynthia Schulz, who is retiring after serving the Council for 16 years.
Ms. Schulz led the Council successfully for the past six years as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and previously served as its Membership and Administrative Director.
Mr. Dulmes comes to the Council from Washington D.C., where he had served as a federal legislative analyst for the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), a national lobbying and trade association. He also has prior experience as a staff member for U.S. Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ), and as high school history and government teacher with the Teach for America program. He is a graduate of Hope College in Holland, MI.
